Default got some money, what upgrades to get?

so i just got about $400CDN for my birthday and im looking to buy someththing for my truck. ive got a little extra on top of that so if its a little more its not a problem. i just got a new exhaust so thats the only thing i reqally dont need.

things im thinking about are: rollpan, front bumper cover, new grille shell (without the cross design), calvu mirrors, cai, white faced guages, new seat (currently have and old worn bench), or any other suggestions.

i need to know good places to get these parts online, ill look at any links sent. also any other suggestions i will also look into.

its A 96 1500, v6, reg cab, shortbox. the engine does need more poer, quite a bit more. but i recently started commuting about 60km to work 5 days a week and fuel mileage is also a priority now. right now, with the new flowmaster exhaust, im getting about 16-17mpg.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cold air intake and a fastman tb would be my choice

I agree, however these will most likely not help your fuel economy, but it'll be more fun to drive for sure...

anything that will help low end torque will help mileage, the problem with upgrades is your right foot [sm=gears.gif]

the only other thing that might help is a strong ignition... MSD 8.5's, good coil and plugs...

the more I think about it... the fastman TB upgrade added some mpg... cant remember how much, maybe 1.5?

you could go for a drop in K&N, if not the whole FIPK II kit, the stock FIPK filter is pretty small, and it does add some power across the rpm range. 1.6 RR's would also be good...

keep your exhaust to a single out setup and I wouldnt go bigger than 2 1/4", maybe 2 1/2". open it up too much and the v6 you have will have a hard time making low end torque... same goes for the intake side.
