front locker install where does the spring go
My brother in law has a Bronco and recently the rear end blew to pieces, they looked at just fixing it but they found an entire axle for I think $150 and it had a locker in the rear. He loves it but his mpg's has gone down considerably with it.
Ah...this is true. Until it ever happens I'll just off road in 2wd!
A member here had one forsale that was for the 9.25 Open Diff rear end, money just had to go to other things...

Heck yea! When i first started driving I was thuggin' it up in my '72 D100 (D=2wd) but that didn't keep me from going all the places i shouldn't have!
Since you mention detroit locker does it replace the spider gears or the whole carrier where you just bolt the Ring gear to the locker and reinstall?
Replaces the whole carrier, at least, it should. I have no clue what the springs would be for.
Yeah whole carrier is replaced the spings helps dissengage the center dissconnect. I am not to worried about gas milage in this truck by any means i figure if i get 5 mpg i will be happy. I rotate cars and ride my ninja most the time. Hoping to have the truck together this weekend pics will be posted starting tomorrow when i get outa work.
