Does anyone know an easy way to wire up the headlights so they stay on all the time - and by that I mean when the truck is running? (install a jumper, I have heard) 2001 3500 5.9 4x4. I am not interested in installing a DRL module.
Can anyone confirm if any USA trucks (MEX built RAMS) have the DRL harness under the hood, just sitting there terminated (without the DRL module as USA trucks did not have the modules)? The last DRL module Canadian Tire installed melted and nearly burnt my truck (Landrover) This is for an RIV inspection.

You can install a standard relay that energizes on key on, but I would get one with a delay so they do not come on while starter is engaged.

The general process for what you are trying to do would involve using an appropriately rated power relay that is in series with the headlights and is "on" when the ignition is on. Check wiring diagrams to find something that will work for that purpose.
I don't know specifically if there is already wiring in place for daytime running lights.
