Default Rock Solid Steering fix problems

I just installed the rock solid fix, and I thought everything went smooth. Did a test drive, and it felt great, the funny rattles were gone, and it felt much better steering.

That was great for about few days. I then noticed in the mornings it got really stiff. I figured out it seemed to be the cold that causes problems. If it is cold, the steering gets really stiff, to the point this morning when it was below freezing, it shifted out of drive on me. When it warms back up (above 45 or so), it steers perfectly. Now this wouldn't be a problem if I was in a perfect climate, but I don't live in one.

I'm pretty sure I followed directions to a T. Any ideas?

Mine was a little stiff after I installed it. I just took some tranny fluid an dumped it on. Between that and a couple weeks it loosened up.

What is this "rock solid" fix you speak of?

Hmmm. Wondering of this is the cause of a rattle I cannot locate.

I hit bumps and bothers me hearing this rattle when my window is down.

Thanks, I might get one of those myself!

If you roll the window up tight, and the rattle goes away, the steering has nothing to do with it. The glass likes to separate from the window frame, inside the door..... and makes a nice rattle. I am looking for a fix for that too. Just setting the window back into the frame doesn't cut it. Need to find some flavor of adhesive to hold it in place.

Did you contact the outfit you bought the "rock solid" kit from? I'd be curious to see if they had anyone else with similar issues.

How long did it take to install?
