Default Radio works but no sound from speakers

Hi guys. My first post and I'm looking for help.

I bought a 99 1500 a week ago and the only issue I have with the truck is that I can get no sound from any speaker. The radio comes on, seeks, tunes and otherwise works perfectly. I swapped it to another truck and it works fine. I put the other radio in my truck and still no sound. This is not the Infinity system with the amp and choke relay.
I have a diagram showing which pins on the radio plug harness go to which speakers and tried to check for continuity between + and - on each speaker through the harness but get nothing from any pin.
I did have a general tech tell me that if one speaker is bad on this truck then none will work.

Anyone have any pointers for me? Whats my next step?

Thanks!

Pop a door panel off and run 2 temporary wires from radio to the speaker and see if it works. If so, the speaker wiring had been altered and is not connected somewhere.

Are you having problems with the stock radio or is it aftermarket? If its aftermarket, did you get the proper wiring harness to go from the back of the new stereo to the trucks wiring?

Thanks for the replies guys.

To answer sniper dave... This is the stock radio, wiring and speakers. Everything about this truck is totally stock. Looks like the po bought it and did nothing but drive it.

Running 2 temporary wires is my next step and I think I'll try continuity from the radio connector to the speaker connector too. That probably won't tell me much if all of them are dead.

I'll update when I get a day to spend some time on it again. I'm driving it with the dash apart so I can tinker as I find time but Sunday will be the first day I have off.

Thanks for the help!

I have a 01 with a stock tape deck( I think). My front speakers didn't work when I got my truck just the back two. And about two weeks ago the driver rear went out so I am down to one speaker now. So you can have three go bad and still have one like me.
