Default wipers dont go all the way down after spray is done

My wipers work when its raining but when I go to press the button to spray clean the windshield the wipers will stop half way across the windshield. After its done cleaning it and not go down all the way when its done until I click the switch on as if it was raining then I shut it off to get them down all the way.why would it be doing this?is my switch going bad?its only doing this when I use the spray.anyone?

I got the same problem except it happens on both the switch and the spray button. But all I have to do is turn the switch and time it to shut off when the wipers go all the way down.

From what I've google'd, I'm pretty sure the park sensor in the motor is worn out...Replacing the motor fixes it. Not sure if this is definitely the case maybe someone else knows.

Ive been driving my truck like that for 3 years. I now have great timing to turn them off so they go back to home. Doesn't bug me enough to fix it yet.

Yeah, same here. It takes a very special skill to time those wipers to get back home, but I've got it down pretty good. I'll probably never fix it.

From what I've read on other forums (here's where I read it: http://www.fixya.com/cars/t6951593-w..._home_position ) it sounds like that's what it is. But you could always try taking them off and reinstall them, or adjust the nut on the wipers if it has them.

Look online for the price; napa, autozone, adv auto...
I doubt it's very hard to change. Download the 2001 ram service manual and read up how to do it or look on youtube: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...e-manuals.html
