I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 short bed single cab, Has the NV3500 5 speed manual with a 318.

Im working on restoring and or upgrading this truck at the moment i am trying to find a site that sells the tire winch.

The Tire Winch that Holds the spare tire under the bed of the truck. It is Toasted and wont winch up or down so i cant put my spare away. Im wondering if anyone has this piece or if theres a site that will sell it, also wondering if theres a place where i can guy the Kit that goes with it, the jack, the 3 piece that attaches together to lower and raise the tire.

 

I actually have a jack and the 3 piece. I had a 1996 and took it before I junked the truck. If you live close to Bloomington IN, I can give it to you. It is not worth it to ship though.

As far as the winch. You can probably make something out of a ratchet strap and a block of wood. Then you can use a padlock and some looped braided and coated wire as insurance. I have the padlock thing on my truck as a theft deterrent. Came factory.

You may need to bring it in to the dealership. They can even order just the part for you, but it will come at more of a cost. It is a good last option.

 

Check a local JY. Surely they would let it go cheap.

 

It sounds like what you are talking about is factory equipment. If so, take a trip down to the local junkyard. I don't think that the spare tire holder/assemblies are really hot ticket items... I would think just about every Ram will still have one under it.

Check ebay. Ive sen the winch, dont know about the jack and pieces though, I havent looked. Should be able to find them also.
