Well, turns out a buddy gets a small discount at oreillys, so i ended up paying 130$ total, for a 146$ (pre-tax) radiator. Not too bad, I dont think. As long as it survives til this weekend. Sure is odd though. I've seen radiators spray from all sorts of different places, but never seen the top of one bulge.

Also gonna flush ma heater core/ block while coolant system is drained, and hopefully my heat'll be restored. Has probably been 4-5 years since last flushing. My buddies talking about spraying water into heater core, and spraying out with air compressor and repeating til clean. Seems like overkill to me, shouldnt a good garden hose clean out work fine??

I used a garden hose to flush my system. Seemed to work fine. On another note, my rad is the same way. Top row on the left (driver) side bulged with fins pulling away. Its been like that since I bought it in June or July 2010. Also have put about 30,000 mile on it like that. So far, no problems but probably gonna change it this summer to play it safe cuz it keeps getting worse.
