I just picked a 2000 1500..she runs great but sometimes more when its cold the tranny wont shift outta first. the cel just came on yesterday , came up with the p0720 code..but i dont have any speedo issues and when it starts to shift it shifts through all the gears with no problem..i have a second ram for parts, a 99 2500 with a 5.9..can i swap sensors out?

 

Same tanny. HSould be able to swap. Disconnect battery forst and reconnect after changing. THis will reset PCM.

 

Which sensor(s)? The speed sensor on the exterior might be the same, but other than the Gov solenoid, the interior sensors are different.
