2500 steering components to 1500?

Default 2500 steering components to 1500?

I read somewhere on here before about some steering parts can be used from a 2500 to a 1500 as an upgrade... I can't find what exactly can be used so can somebody school me?

I also would like to know. Are you wanting to do this on a 2wd or a 4wd

I have a 4wd, a local junk yard let's people pull their own parts and they are dirt cheap.

I've heard of people switching to 3500 steering components for an upgrade. I'm not sure how big of differences there are between 1500 and 2500 steering components though

From looking at part numbers for steering gear boxes...

The short bed 1500 is different from any other model.
The long bed 1500 and the 2500 with the GVW of 7500lbs are the same.
And the 2500 with the higher 8800LB GVW is the same as the 3500.
