ok ill do this tomarrow! but i pulled my plug on my transfercase to check my fluid and it was bone dry! i pulled both plugs and no fluid came out i ran my pinky finger in the whole and got alittle bit of fluid it was black and had a slight burrnt smell to it but i couldnt feel any shavings! i flushed it by putting fluid through it and it didnt get any shavings so i guess thats good? if that snap ring isnt there any idea of how much it would cost?
Bout 50 bucks from these guys. Quad 4x4 seems to be sold out...... This is a better part than the snap ring it replaces. It simply will NOT come off....
ok man thanks ill post up tomarrow on how that works out! but 1 more question! every once and awhile while im driving mytruck spits and sputters when i accelerate like its out of gas but it has between 1/4 n 1/2 a tank i pulled my plugs and cleaned them and i dropped my tank and cleaned it my fuel pump was replaced and filter was good and it still does it! like it has water or somethng in the gas do you know what it could be?
Check the stickied plenum thread at the top of this forum...... if that part hasn't been addressed, that's where you are going to need to start.
Could be any number of things though...... best bet is to first make sure everything is up to snuff maintenance-wise. Plenum fixed, full tune-up, (cap/rotor/wires/plugs/pcv), and take it from there.

anywhere from a couple hundred to over a thousand, depending on what you get, and where you get it. Rather location dependent too..... some places they are a dime a dozen, other places..... well..... better be feeling masochistic when you go to pay for it.

I think 98 all the way up to 01...... the 94-97 would probably fit in there, but, shift pattern is different. You just want a 231D (or 231DHD if you can find one...). I think they came in Ram's, Durango's, and Dakota's.
