I'll second the 4.56 or 4.88. I've never had them but just verified that I have 4.10 and the 35-12.5-17 s on it don't move like i want. And I hate the low speed shifting into higher gears. I ride around with overdrive off at all times

5.9's are roller lifters. You can re-use them.... but, ma mopar replacements are only 100 bucks and some change..... cheap insurance.

The cooling systems on these trucks are a bear to get all the air out of. Heater core is one of the favorite places for it to get trapped, and you get **** poor heat.... Backflushing may help some. (one member went to the pressure wash, and used that to backflush his...... I used a garden hose, and wasn't quite so successful... but, my water pressure just sucks.)

With the standard, first gear is still really low, even with the 3.55s, i even take off in 2nd in some spots, but i deff need gears

i had them flush the heater core when they did the pump, but maybe they didnt, im not sure. But how did you do it, just disconnected both hoses on the heater core, then just back flush it and hook it all back up?

Yup. It helped, but, my heat still isn't what it should be.

Some folks have done the job in less than 3.... I suppose it is all a matter of luck. (and experience plays a role in there as well...)

Give it a shot, sure can't HURT anything.

If you payed a shop to fix the water leak shouldn't you take it back if it's still leaking?
