Thinking on it just now for the first time: Because of PATC I don't even want a manual transmission, but if it weren't for PATC I wouldn't want the automatic.

If I were in your shoes, I'd sell the manual truck for a premium even if I had to wait a few months to move it, then buy an auto rig with a transmission that's about to blow chunks with a correspondingly low price and order the Mega Viper as soon as I got the new rig home. If you go that route, plan on upgrading to the billet converter, and at least seriously consider the deep pan, filter extension, and remote filter to round out the package. If you're thinking of serious power upgrades, also consider upgrading the planetaries. Otherwise, those that come by default are good enough even for towing up to the limits of the chassis.

I live in Sacramento, If you lived close I would trade you everything in my truck for everything in yours and I would do the work..

But you did not say what model transmission is it 4x4?
