Default What tires?

Hey everyone I have a 99 dodge ram sport and have a couple questions. I recently posted about getting a 3" lift kit by top gun customz and had installed it last weekend with a breeze. Like everyone says lifts are addicting and i just want to go higher now. Well i been thinking about going with some new tires to give it a little more height cause the stock ones look tiny now. I want to go with 33s. I dont go off roading i use my truck as a daily driver but want to occasionally go play in the mud with all my friends. My wheels are stock 16s and want to stay on a tight budget since i have a kid coming in a month. What would be a good tire to go with and also driving on the highway to work everyday what gear ratio should i go with? Here is a pick of the truck with the lift. also if anyone has a 3 inch lift with 33s post your pics so i can get a idea!

Congrats on the lift. I finished the same lift a few weeks ago and have the same issue with the tires looking small. I have stock gearing (3.55) so in my case I'm gonna get 285/75/16 (33") or maybe even 315/75/16 (35") from https://www.treadwright.com/.

Nice convert website for tire size. http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html

I've got 34.5s on a 2.5" lift in front and 2" in the back and only issue I have is with width, at full urn the tires hit the axle support arms but that's no big deal to me doesn't hurt anything. And for tires I been running buckshot maxis mudders for almost 3 years and I still got some life left in em, they don't whine much dig in mud and pull on rocks

33" tires and 4.10 gears = same stock final drive ratio as stock tires and stock gears.
35" tires need 4.56 gears to get the same stock ratio and load/power output...
It also throw your mpg calculators and spedo/ odometers off when changing tire size unless thingsare corrected.
Theres like a hundred threads going over this in great detail if you use the search option....some even have charts to break it down..
depending on you tire size choice and driving habits you can pull it off without doing the gears....
Keep in mind 35" tires and 3.55 gears is gonna make the truck feel like it has a 4 banger under the hood and get prettty bad mileage in most conditions... If you read some recent threads about this you'll see it contributes to transmission failure fairly fast too...
The more aggressive and wider the tire the worse the mileage too... one member on a jeep forum I belong to lost over 3mpg just by going from all terrains to mud tires of the same size...
just stuff to keep in mind...
It is addicting...I'm raising mine another 2.5" to prevent rubbing issues I have now...
