Question Gas gauge

My gas gauge won't work it's stuck at full tank

I heard you can disconnect the gauge wire an if the gauge moves it's the floater an if it stays the same it's the gauge

Thus do I have to remove my bed to disconnect the line?

Nope, if you squat down in front of the drivers side rear tire, you should be able to see what you are looking for.
