Default Towing Mirror brackets

Searched for this, rifled through 3 pages, no mention of how the brackets are supposed to work.

I have the mirrors and the brackets, how do the brackets mount up, on the inside of the door behind the door panel? Not inside the door or something right?

I realize it sounds like a dumb *** question, and i feel retarded for asking, but i'm trying to visualize how its supposed to work, and I'm not sure.

If you got a pic, throw it up here, it will help me a lot. Thanks

They mount on the inside of the door, under the door panel. They fit into the little slot where the old mirror bolts came out of, just sorta fit on top of that, and the towing mirror bolts come through the door, through the brackets, then get bolted on.

Still on a 2nd gen though?? Hmmmm.....

I just thought they spread out the distance the bolts traveled for stability, friend of mine didn't put his brackets on and you can't even see out of his mirrors they shake so bad lol.

I'll take a picture if I get around to it.
