rear view mirror

Question rear view mirror

just bought a 98 ram 1500 and the rear view mirror is off it i went to put it on and someone glued the metal tab on the windsheild backwards! how can i get the tab off the windsheild with out breaking it help!!

Use something like goo gone to easy away at the glue...some sort of adhesive remover....in conjunction with a flat razor scrapper should do the trick...swing by a best buy and ask what they use to remove factory resar view mirrors prior to installing the on star fmv mirrors...

Might be able to get away with heating it up with a heat gun or something of the sort. Just enough to loosen up the glue and get the tab off

+1, heat gun on the outside of the windshield. That's how they do it when replacing a windshield.
