Default crank case inlet cleaner !!!!

ok so ive got a 2000 ram 2500 5.9 gas 4x4 and i was getting rough idle so i changed my PVC valve. fixed it. in the process i was told the valve was on the passenger side valve cover, so i ripped off the CRANK CASE INLET CLEANER thinking it was the pvc valve. so now i have a big hole in my passenger valve cover and i cant get this CRANK CASE INLET CLEANER back on. does anyone have any insight or experience with this, please i need some help, my truck is being left in the autozone parking lot right now!!!

I had the same problem. I knocked mine off accidentally doing something else I can't remember.... I went to the parts store, bought a new grommet, lubed up the grommet, and the part of the breather that inserts into it, and stuffed it back in. Yes, I was a PITA.

It's the breather cap on the passenger side valve cover. has the hose that goes from it, to the air box.

The grommet was in the help section. Probably have to actually go to the store to get one.

Mine wasn't in bad shape either, it was just really old, and hard as a rock. There was no pliability left in it. So, I replaced it.

hey you was exactly right, the old grommet was hard as a rock, the new one was very pliable. just a little bit of oil as lube and i used a hammer to get it on and then put the plastic elbow piece in. thanks for your help!

That's a lot different than a "CRANK CASE INLET CLEANER".
