I have a question?

I have a 1999 Dodge ram 1500, ext cab reg 2 wheel drive. 318 motor.

Here my thing, the tranny is burnt out and I can get my hands on a 2001 dodge ram , reg cab and reg 2 wheel drive . 318 motor(Blown)

Can a tranny from a 2001 fit my 1999?

 

Only difference is the electronics. Connectors changed in 2000 I think. Might require some parts swapping to make overdrive, and torque converter clutch work right.
