How do you take off the fuel rails i got the 2 bolts off but it dont want to pop out is there some kind of pressure release thing im missing?. im just trying to see if the injectors are leaking i dont need to take the rail completly off just want to pop it up a little to peek at the injectors.
truck is running really rich with codes, po133, and po171,
I wanted to check the injectors first befor i bought an o2 sensor.

Should be four bolts I think. And yes, the injectors hang on REAL tight to the manifold. Get yourself a WIDE prying device, start at one corner (two injectors) get them to come out, move on to the next two. Just work your way around the manifold.

They shouldn't be on there too tight you need to pry them up just a little wiggle and pull with your hands and they pop right out

When in doubt, use the universal tool of choice:

Just bite the bullet and replace the O2 Sensor. No need to go messing with the fuel rail. If it's running rich, then obviously the computer isn't getting the right information from the O2 sensor. But that's just me. If the injectors were to be leaking, you'd smell a strong odor of gas after turning the key, because if it was to leak where the injector meets the fuel rail, it would leak under the truck and the truck wouldn't have to run to smell the gas.

I would spray it with some penetrating spray just to lube the injector o-rings and then use the prying method already stated.

Or spray each injector and pull straight up on the injector body itself, so you don't damage your aluminum fuel rail.(some rams came with plastic ones)
