trans temp-test port?

Default trans temp-test port?

Got a tranny temp gauge. Rather not tap line. Dad said there is a test port i can use? Any info on this? Its a cyberdyne tranny temp

There is a test port on the passenger side by the dip stick and that's where I've been getting my temp reading for over a year. Seems accurate enough. Never really checked and compared readings with the infrared tester I have. I have an autometer gauge.

Don' put it there. All test ports on these tranny's only get fluid running threw them in certain gear's only. They'll give you false readings. Either go directly into the pan or do a tee type fitting. Do a search in this topic. There are some threads about it.
