My transmission was making a whinning noise in nuetral and reverse so I checked the fluid level and it was down below the MIN mark. Scary. Just wondering if there is any rhyme or reason to how much fluid added will raise the level on the dipstick "x" amount.

Check fluid level in neutral, engine running, everything at operating temp. Bear in mind, the difference between "add" and "full" is one PINT. Not a quart......
