That would be one long ride to do a paint job, but would love to be able to do things like that one day and meet some good people along the way and back again. What the temp down there right now? 58 here in Pa

It is 56 and rainy today. Been in upper 70's and low 80's over last week. SHould blow out in a couple days and be nice for the weekend. Hope to lay a coat of urethane primer Saturday and maybe base, then clear on Sunday if the West Texas wind goes away!

My step son moved to Philly last week. Had to spend the weekend before chaecking over his car to make sure everything was good to go.

Why urethane primer and not epoxy primer? I use Epoxy all the time in my shop

My bad...it is Omni MP 172 Epoxy with adhesion promoter, and then acrylic urethane base.

This is the first vehicle I have painted....I have experienced a few setbacks, like mixing a harder with paint - instead of catalyst.....and having to wash off with lacquer thinner as it would not dry. Damn cans all look alike!
