So my viper alarm has a feature which turns on the interior lights when I unlock the car. It says I need a relay but do the interior lights have a relay I could just splice the "alarm trigger wire" into to turn my lights when I unlock the car. I tested it and when I push the unlock button, the alarm wire puts out 5v's. How much do the interior lights need?

I would not splice it into the switch, you would want to turn the lights off when you start driving.

I don't know anything about a special relay. It would guess that it would be the same relay that triggers your doors to automatically lock when you start driving.

BTW, I really hate it when the doors autolock and you are keeping your truck running to drop off your daughter for school. Then you get to the other side to let her out and you can't open the door because it is locked.
