Did you check the refrigerant or if the ac lines hold up pressure? If the lines are leaking or the compressor doesn't run up to standards you'll blow hot air.

Assuming you cleaned the TB/IAC valve when you did the plenum... The surge is most likely either a vacuum line problem, bad ignition coil/wires, or faulty tps. Test the coil and the tps with a multimeter, and double check the egr and intake lines.

http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl073h.htm <---this could explain your a/c and cruise control problems.

You have a vacuum leak somewhere.

I checked it as soon as I noticed cruise was out...I looked&all of the vac lines in the engine bay seem to be fine&the reservoir too...if it is a vac leak it has to be one I cant see...but I didnt have this problem before I fixed the plenum...Maybe I have the vac lines in the wrong places?Should I start a thread about where I have my vac lines hooked up or?

doesn't the egr have vacuum lines on it? If so did you cap them?

I have all of the vac lines on the egr valve hooked uo correctly,I just blocked the egr tube@the header but left the egr valve on there as it was before...reason being I had tovut the pipe in half&wanted a quick fix till I can weld it back together.

Seems like I remaber a check valve on vac lines somewhere. If it is backwards it may cause issues, but I am betting a leak somewhere.
