i will say that when i took it too him it was gimping in barely able to get out of first. it is a heck of a lot better, but it still doesn't feel like i think it should. i guess im used to driving newer vehicles with smooth trannys. so with that in mind im not sure what else he coulda done to fix the problem without dropping it.

i did swing it by another tranny place on the way to work and he said that if the tools are good enough they won't leave a mark on the bolt. he said to give it a week to work out any kinks and then go from there.

It should be fixed right. If you are not satisifed, I would take it back. These trannys feel good when they are correct, as I have experienced this from trashed to great.

Work out any kinks? REALLY? Where did that guy get his training? Trannys don't "work out kinks." And even good tools will leave marks such as dirt or oil smudged or knocked off. This just sounds like one mechanic not wanting to bad mouth someone else, but I still call BS.
