Reading around random threads and stumbled upon this intriguing statement but remained unclear to me...
Are Summit headers, (SUM-G9045) the same headers as pacesetter shorties (70-1315), just relabeled?
They are indeed, and Pacesetter will even give you any needed service. I ordered the wrong set of Summit headers (non-egr when I needed egr), so with Pacesetter being based here in Phoenix, I drove downtown and exchanged them.
yes eastwood sells it... you can find it on ebay too for like 25 bucks it has a special hose applicator to spray down the whole length of the pipes inside...
Is there any point in getting long tubes in our trucks? I want to get a set because I need more torque and kinda as an excuse to get true duals and get rid of the 1 in 2 out that I paid too much for...

long tubes provide about 7-10 more hp than shorties... but I read mixed things about true duals without an h or x pipe ... It rarely done on performance cars... must be a reason?
I'm pretty sure on cars you run an x pipe for high end power, and an h pipe for torque. I may have those mixed up but xpipes are used a lot and when my buddy bought long tubes for his car it came with an x pipe. I think I'm going to do LTs on my truck....at some point

The Pacesetter longtubes? Not to say they shouldn't be used just that you need to match them to the system they are being put in to approach/equal well matched shorty performance and don't expect those kind of numbers unless you are pushing a $#1+ ton more air than stock and can really pressurize them so velocity stays high enough to get those bad boys really scavenging in a noticeable way.

I don't see long tubes being any better than short tubes unless they are TUNED. That's where the extra power's at, otherwise it's pretty much a crap-shoot at how well the headers are going to scavenge.
they are the same yes...some older style headers have a port for the egr but not the ones on ebay... thats why the fit chart shows them all to be the same thing..
