Default 46 RE fresh rebuild problems

I just completed a fresh rebuild including new torque converter on my 96 rams 46re transmission and have some serious problems. Upon testing I found that the transmission is pulling forward in Park, Nuetral and all forward gears. When shifted into reverse it just binds up and doesn't move at all when throttle is applied, it sounds just like it is in gear and your holding the brake. I am lost as to what can be causing this. I have taken the valve body back out and cleaned it and put it back in still the same problem. Anyone have any advice as to what to look for? Thanks

Got your front band too tight? Piston cocked in a bore? Look it all over very carefully.

Did you do the rebuild yourself? Look at shifter linkage.

The rooster comb on valve body can be aPITA to get correct. May need to double check that as well.

Also, as UU stated, front band. If it is too tight, it will keep drum locked down. DOn't know exactly waht it would do as clutches should be disengaged.....but it would jam something up for sure.

If it's binding in gear, I think your tolerance's for your clutch packs are to tight. Do you have those on hand?

Rear clutch set is locked.......You can drive it out the road and if the trans has all the other gears with no problems, then all you will have to do is remove trans and address the problem in the rear clutch drum....the rear clutch drum is the one that the input shaft splines into..
