Makes me suspect weak battery. Seems like I saw an old thread here about someone having a humming sound from PCM and it turned out to be weak battery....(or maybe I was dreaming it).

Well while I was trying to get the old truck started last night I did notice a rattle coming from the exhaust. Any chance I could have the clogged cat syndrome I have read about? I still have no CEL, but it will not start at all now. It just cranks and sometimes gives a wierd "burp" out of the exhaust pipe. Thanks for all the help!! I miss my truck.

Forgive my ignorance, but what should I look for if I remove the 02 sensor? Should it start then if the cat is plugged? Or should I be able to look at it and tell something? Sorry if that is a dumb question, just new territory to me. Thanks.

If you remove the O2 sensor, some of the exhaust gasses can pass through the port. A clogged cat plugs exhaust and creates backpressure on system which can prevent it from starting/running.

Remove the one at the front of the cat to check and let us know what happens.

Wow. Glad I asked. That sure beats my idea of just cutting it off and see what happens. I will try that tonight if the rain ever lets up here. Thanks again!
