Massive Fuel Leak

I disconnected the battery to avoid my truck being an actual charcoal gray instead of being painted that color.
However, the upper quick disconnect (the one at the fuel rail) came off with little argument. The lower one (attached to the hard line) won't even budge. I am using a 3/8" and it goes in, however I can't push the flex line in towards the tool.
Any ideas fellas? You guys have been more than helpful. Looks like a jy about 15 minutes away might have what I am looking for, but I want to get this one off first.

Got it off with some PB Blaster and some vice grips. Come to find out the piece isn't all flexline, it has hard line with flexline at each end.
There wasn't any holes in the braided line (that would require a lot of pressure) but it seems the crimp on the bottom side of the hard line has failed. Here's to hoping this jy has what I need.

I got the jy fuel line installed. I paid $15 for the whole of it (from frame-mounted hard line up to the fuel rail). I wasn't able to get the hard line portion clipped back into its intended place, but I am confident it is out of harms way. When I replace the cap and rotor I will try to get the fuel line properly routed though.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with me.
