Default Truck bogs when I floor it

Hey everybody I have a 1998 dodge ram 2500 5.9 360.my problem is that it is really slow, I was wondering why when I put the pedal to the floor it doesnt have the power that I heard of. If u think u know why it's doing this let me know.

Have you fixed your plenum? Is the cat clogged?

how many miles? any mods stock tires.... does it burn oil? what are you comparing it too? they arent sportscars they are +6,000lbs trucks built for work not speed. and as bad as it is on gas the 3.55 gear ratio is weak to accomplish better gas mileage for such a large vehicle... this makes it sluggish as it is... put bigger wheels on it and its worse.

142,000 mikes and 285/65 tires, and no it doesn't burn oil
