Default Suspension Problem?

I have been noticing a very shrill squeak when I turn sometimes and go over speedbumps, rough road, etc. I put my truck on a lift and looked under, ball joint boots are completely gone. I am going to replace the lower ones. I was wondering if the upper ones could have something to do with the squeak as well? Also, if anyone knows..what are some good affordable shocks I could get for my 2wd? Ride is very bouncy sometimes lol. Thanks in advance!

If you are replacing a balljoint on one side, do both on that side..... No clue on shocks.

if you are doing the lower ball joints, do the uppers too. they're fairly cheap. as for shocks i would guess along the lines of $40-$60. monroes are decent for the money

I was going to replace both sides. Are Moog's parts any good?

They used to be...... now, you are pretty much just paying for the name. XRF seems to be a quality brand though.
