Some Gears questions
My input would be to get the new 456 gears. It hasn't hurt my MPG. I found my gears on Ebay with full install kits for just over 600 then had them put in. Did the rear first at a cost of 250 then did the front a few weeks later at a cost of 200. 2 different people did the install as you can see the price difference. It fills like 2 different trucks when you turn the over drive off on my truck and I'm so very happy with the truck now.
The "ideal" for 33's is 4.10... again, that's on the gas engine. With the diesel, it's probably less of an issue.
I gotta agree with Lone136 though.
35's with the 4.56 gears would put a smile on your face. Does your truck have any lift??

I do have a minor lift, probably 1", maybe 2?
And I'd love to do the 4.56 gears but I can't afford to do it before I move and frankly it seems unnecessary for me anyway. I'm sure i'd be very happy with it, but, Ijust can't do it yet.

It takes me almost 6 hrs to drive from buffalo to Albany...
and yeah I agree 4.56 gears are the way to go with 35" tires... its a day and night difference in power and drive ability...
