Just checked on the site i referenced above, I was wrong on the price for the Black Max tonno. I said 250, turns out it was 187 & change. Trust me these things pay for themselves.

This webpage is now longer online, but a version was stored in the web archive:

http://web.archive.org/web/200304141...affner/did.htm

note that lowering the tailgate only helped a very small amount,
removing the tailgate actually hurt,
but using a bed cover helped a significant amount - almost 12%

The picture of the model truck with a bedcover is at

The students that did this project won a prize from the Society of Automotive Engineers who must have judged their work as having some reliability.

ORIGINAL: 1500sport

I would have to recommend sportmaster brand tonneau covers to anyone.

http://www.sportmasters.com/

I have the slant side snap cover which is a full snap cover. They also make a hinged snap cover and full roll up cover. The website the is manufacturer's website and does not give prices. I have looked at other cover including extang and have yet to see anything as good as the sportmaster. The snaps are metal and have set screws to keep them from moving at all while the cover is unsnap therefore allowing resnapping to be very easy. My family currently has three of the covers and we are going to get two more for other trucks. I got my full snap cover for $200 plus tax. It was hard to find this price but a good accessories place can do it.
When I bought my truck, it had a Sportmaster tonneau on it. I hated it. Compared to an Extang cover, it was very loose fitting and was made of a thinner material.
