Good job bro!
So when you put that timing cover back on, did you dab the corners with any RTV silicone to prevent any leaks?

2. You should get new O2 sensors anyways (both of them). Good place is Rock Auto and there is a thread in the "Discussion" forum showing discount code. AVOID BOSCH brand. NTK or Denso are the ones our Dodges likey.

3. Also, did you replace the PCV valve? If not, get it from the Dealer, plus new valve cover grommets. All of it is cheap....actually.
Will try pulling the O2, had thought about it after I finished the plenum, but wanted to get new cat in and not worry about it. I have a Bosch, got it for dirt cheap.. before I had read about not using them in our trucks, dont plan to use it, need to order a NTK.

Replaced pcv but like the oem one I took out(prior to plenum fix etc), and the last one from my work, they are rattling alot, at least at idle, dunno why.

Was at 162k, chain was stretched pretty good. The truck runs better for sure, throttle response is improved, acceleration from 0-35+ is greatly improved, and roll on from 40-50 in OD in city traffic is better also. It still feels a little soft though.

Thanks! Yes I did.

I also used the rubber seals for the manifold from a Victor Reinz set which came with the plate kit instead of the cork ones from the Fel pro, I purchased the Fel pro separately for the plenum plate gasket and manifold to head gaskets though.

Horn is on the list, truck just needs alot more right now.. coming up very soon will be brakes(squeaking now), shocks(last done in 01), steering stabilizer, radio(mine dont work), tint, new muffler, .. someday a new rear gear etc

Maybe new trans soon also, been hearing some odd noises the past couple weeks.

Had the Magnaflow cat put on today at a local exhaust shop, all welded up. Got a chance to see the stock one side by side with it(I forgot to look inside the old cat while standing there ), the Magnaflow looks like it must flow better, no crush bends like the oem piece.

Paid $155, they quoted me for "book time plus shop supplies" but it took them longer than the 1.5hrs they thought it would. Welds look pretty good.

Truck feels better, again.. I did the plugs and wires a few weeks back and it felt much better. I did plenum, cap, rotor, timing chain, and oil change etc last week and it again felt better.

Drove it about 6 miles today after the cat was put on, felt even more improvement, its windy as hell out, but I could tell there was more under my foot than before. A few times I was at 30-35+ and didnt expect to be there that quickly with as little pedal as I had in it. Very quiet at 45mph cruising in OD.

The exhaust note has changed slightly- a little more aggressive sounding from what I could tell in the short and slow trip I made.. its minor but you can hear it clearly from outisde the truck at the tailpipe at idle.

One negative is the idle is a little rougher now for some reason. Cant see it in the tach, but you can feel shaking slightly more. I may try putting in the new accel plugs I have sitting in the box still, the Champions in there have had a few weeks of blown plenum time.

Have ordered the 1 wire separators so I can reroute my coil wire, hopefully they will be here early next week. Will be ordering a NTK sensor today as well, and bought a compression tester while I was out, going to do #7 and #8 asap.

Can anyone confirm for me that my front O2 NTK part number is 23014? I only have two sensors, it is NOT a Cali truck. All the info I have found tells me this is the correct sensor(for both pre and post on my truck), just looking for a confirmation if possible.

Ok, theres what I was looking for..

Took the connections off the battery to let things reset, truck idles smooth and runs a ton better. I feel like I can move with traffic now from a stop and roll on situations. Can hear the exhaust note change above 2k rpm for sure.

Cant wait to get to a decent grade while hauling.

Thanks again for the help this forum has been.
