i thought all cummins had a dana 60 up front. did they come with a dana 44 also, or what that just the gas rigs?

 

I'm not sure on that one, some light duty 3/4 ton trucks came with a dana 44 up front, what I don't know is if dodge put a cummins into a light duty truck.
If it's a specific vehicle you are wondering about, just get a build sheet from chrysler to see if it came from the factory with the dana 44

 

A cummins sitting on top of a 44??? That hardly seems likely to me....... der diesel weighs a friggin ton..... and puts out more torque than the stock 44 would ever be able to handle....... you would be twisting up axles on a regular basis.....

 

No 2nd gen cummins with a 44 from the factory. All the light duty 2500's had v8's in them.


I am pretty sure that none of the first gen cummins trucks ever had a 44 either.
