I should probably update my signature however my truck is mostly stock in terms of Power right now I have A drop in K&N air filter, Deleted my cat and made a custom pipe to blend the two into one then from there back I have 2.5" pipe and a flowmaster 44. I just did the Hughes plenum kit today took about 5 hours and went smooth. Truck is running great. I would like to get the headers a y pipe and a high flow cat and keep my flowmaster 44. Eventually I would LOVE roller rockers. sct would be a bonus because I dont have the death flash in my truck.

I guess I should match the shorty headers up with this... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Magnaflow-Di...0d028d&vxp=mtr

Looks like it will match up.

Yep, bolt right on with either stock manifolds, or, shorty headers.

If you get ebay headers AND THEN get the steep pipes to plumb to your cat, you will end up paying more than 490 because you will need to get an exhaust shop to fab up (weld and install) a set for you. That will be about 300 bucks.

Just get the edelbrock headers. They come with everything for the 1996.
FYI The Edelbrock is a great kit and I love the heck out of mine. Thanks CPTAFW. Thing is I'm pretty sure they have gone obsolete now. I couldn't locate it on the Edelbrock website anymore last time I checked.

FYI For the guys with 96-99 trucks. The bosch "0280155712" injector work great so far ...I installed them today and during the 20 minute drive the fuel trims were good and hovered above and below 0 without ever getting into any extremes so...

He was very understandable to my predicament and sent me the injectors to test even after feedback was left and a month had passed... His website is down right now and is being revamped. they are totally rebuilt with new hardware and orings and flow checked to be a matching set from what he told me.. His prices were pretty good too.
I mentioned I may be referring some guys from here to him so mention I referred whomever is reading this and interested and he may cut you a discount of some kind.
It may be wise to hold off a day or two until I get more than 20 minutes of driving on them but honestly It looks like they are a winner... and I got them installed in under an hour...
I will start a thread on them tomorrow and report my further findings and there after I get more miles on them.

UPDATE ON HEADERS: Well They came yesterday and today I began to install them. Old stuff came off really well; very easy. As I began to install the new stuff I had a few problems. First off those Mother Fu-... Fathers sent me 3/8 bolts instead of 5/16-18. That made me almost kill someone, but luckily My shop teacher had some 5/16-18 x 1's layng around. Threaded on in and it all seemed good. However they didn't work because the idiots that build the pipes make sharp bends instead of coming away from the engine then going down. Problem Number two, I had to pull off my spark plug boot protectors, I hate taking protective devices like that off of my vehicles. So Naturally I didn't have the time to finish the job because I had to go to work after school. (today was my last day of high school ever woohoo) Anyhow I got some 5/16-18x 1/2in and I think they should work. Wish me luck tomorow fellas.

1/2" bolts? The bolts need to engage nut fully, plus the thickness of the pieces being bolted. SO if you only have like 2 thread engagement, it will not hold.
