Default Dodge not starting??

Hey guys, I got a 99 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with a 360. I love my dodge to death but it seems to have thrown a curve ball at me.

The other day I got out of my truck and tried to lock it with the keyless entry but it didn't work. Thought it was odd so I opened the door back up and my dome light did not work, tried to start it and it started for a sec and then died then wouldn't start after that.

I got a feeling it might be my security system but not to sure, all my fuses are good and I assume my relays are as well but not sure on how to check that. Any suggestions would be much help.

Try disconnecting battery and make sure batt posts are clean. This may also reset security system if there's a problem there. (Not sure about that though.)

Will it start and stay running if you give it throttle? If so my bet would be the IACV, Mine did the same thing, killed the battery, and wouldnt start and stay running unless i gave it throttle. Its on the back of the throttle body held in by two T15 (i think) screws, take it out and clean it up and see if you have any more luck. If that seems to want to fix it then you should go ahead and replace it, mine was $42 at advance auto parts.

Giving it throttle didn't work Either. It almost seems as if the engine is locked up, I can hear my gas pump come on and prime, but nothing. It's only got 60,000 miles on it so I know the engine and parts are fine, it roars when it runs. I think it's the factory alarm that's disabling it. But I don't know to bypass it or reset it.

Try yanking the security fuse in the PDC box under the hood, maybe?

Try replacing the plunger switch at the door jamb.

It was my power door lock fuse that was blown which is located by the door.
It started right up when I changed it out.

Thanks for all the help guys. Much appreciated!!
