Default Making 1500 look like 2500

Does anyone have anything on there truck that makes it look more heavy duty like the 2500s. i like the big Heavy duty look but dont have the money for a new truck. thinking of putting tow mirror, running lights on top. and 2500 coil springs on the front to raise it up a bit. and maybe to fool with people some more ill put 2500 badges on it. Anywho, if anyone has any more things that i can add to it to make it look more like a 2500 let me know as i will add it to my list of things to do!

There is very little difference between the 1500 and 2500.... 2500 sits a bit higher, has eight lug wheels, and may, or may not... have the clearance lights on the roof. That's about it.

Sorry man you are 100% wrong. EVERYTHING is beefier on the 2500's. the frame is bigger, the cooling system is better, the axles are larger, the brakes are twice the size, the driveshaft is larger, the spring and shocks are beefier, the front end componets are larger, gear ratios are usually lower. etc etc EVERYTHING is beefier.

Both HeyYou and the OP are talking appearance wise. Not anything else. Obviously the steering, brakes, suspension, axles, etc are different...but there talking how to make a 1500 look like a 2500.

As others have said the only differences are basically height, tires/rims/axles (8-lug), and emblems. Tow mirrors are optional for 2500s and cab lights are optional for both 1500 and 2500.

dont bother just sell that 1500 and take the money and buy a 2500.but if you want i think you can fit bigger tires on a stock 1500 not sure how big though maybe 33s?

Ya just take all the name badges off the truck with a heat gun and goo b gone. Because those badges are just advertisements for dodge. And they are so expensive!

Just be advised that if you take off the badges that you might take off some paint because the two sided tape that is holding those emblems on is tough to get off and the best way to get it off is with a razor blade.
