Default Shocks and snow plow prep

I'm shopping for shocks and I notice this "not Snow Plow Prep" message...at lease at Rancho. AND I get the feeling that my truck sits higher than the average RAM 2500. I only do summer hauling of a 7200# boat and trailer, should I even care about the shocks disclaimer? What would I measure to see if a "standard" shock would work for me or do I need to go to the +2" ones? My rear shocks measure a little under 22" from bolt to bolt.
