headlight harness upgrade

Erm.... plugged into the headlights..... then it disappears into the wire loom.

aren't you sopposed to plugg in the other connectors into the headlight and the other plug into the stock headlight harness?

no, i don't think so. i think you take the old harness off and throw it away, keeping only the wiring to the switch in the cab. then fish the new yellow harness in and connect to the headlights. mount the relays and connect switch and battery to them.

the advantage of the new is - heavier wire from battery to light. relays. much less amperage to cab switch.

The lmc harness plugs into the stock harness. The power goes from battery to relays. Stock switch now switches the relay. Hence no switch problem.

It uses the stock headlight plugs.

Due to the length of the harness, your power will be on the driver side.

Unplug the stock portion from the driver headlight. Plug that end into the LMC harness (the box piece in your picture, which looks like my picture). The headlight receives the plug directly from the harness.

Passenger side just leaves the stock plug left a hanging. Lmc plug goes to the headlight.

Does this kit not come with instructions? Wn will be a great help Op he knows what he is doing.

merc225hp it does but are very vague and Instructions do not specify where everything is.
wh1t3nukle yeah its your picture my bad. so i just plug that male connetor that says "existing headlight harness" to the headlight plug on the driver side
