I've seen some brands that are longer than others. Maybe boxed wrong, I don't know, but always match it to the old one .

I would chang the PCV as well. These are often neglected. Others will recommend the one form the dealer. They are pretty inexpensive (cheapest thing I bought form the dealer). I also added a catch can just to keep a little more crap out of intake, but it is not required.

I blew my motor two months after buying it with 84k on it. Pistons were in pieces. The ones that were still together showed signs of running lean. Plenum plate was actually warped a little when pulled off. Make sure you take care of it.remanned motors are reasonably priced but labor isn't lol

I guess you can just throw in a new gasket and let the next guy take care of the next blown plenum.

Dealer parts arent always superior they just cost more.....I found that out with my governor pressure soleniod and sensor.... borg warner one I replaced it with the second time is superior in every way..
I did notice the dealer part had two metal pieces on the end and auto store one didnt. Don't know if that mattered. I just thought it was weird they wanted vin. Asked why and said they had four for that year and motor. I've learned its hit or miss regardless of where you shop
