Anyone tow with a hemifever tune?
I will be moving from IN to NY in three weeks. My last move I flashed back to stock, but with my 24# injectors, I need the tune to not run really really rich.
I will be towing about 2K in the bed and pulling my 600 lb harley on a 5x8 flatbed. So roughly 3K lbs total.
I was just wondering if towing without torque management would be severely detrimental.
Tranny feels great (fluid/filter change 8K miles ago, skipped band adujstment because I didn't want to mess it up, it was fine). Had a new differential put in a year ago.
The only thing I will be doing between now and the move is a tuneup (cap/ropor and plugs only) and Russels brake hoses.

you'll be fine as is. keep OD off and speed moderate and don't count on any sudden stops. air up tires enough for that much weight 65 psi or so. you do have D or E rated tires correct. if not, don't haul that much weight.
you're worst potential problem is with that much weight and being *** heavy and front light and the front end being light and skatey. load the heavier stuff forward or move it the trailer.

Auto trannies and towing have been around a lot longer than torque management...... I don't think you will have any issues, provide you don't beat the crap out of it while towing.... I would also stay out of O/D......
I have Hemifevers 91 tune and tow all the time. Just yesturday I had to pick up and drop off some steel for work. Had about 5000lbs plus the trailer.
As stated, just keep her out of OD and should be good.

my 1996 had them (PO put them on) and I kept them when I junked my 1996. I liked the idea of 4 hole injectors.
The tune trims the duty cycle.
also, those injectors are fords and were rated at 43 PSI, so they really run 25.5#

BTW, thanks for the replies. And this will be my 5th move since 2007 and I always put the heaviest stuff in the front part of the bed.
I have not had any problems stopping, but it is very different and I don;t follow close at all when towing during my moves.
And I don't even like to be in OD when I normally drive my truck (CITY driving...and I mean CITY!!! I never get above 40 mph, and 40mph in OD feels like a dog).
