R/T cam, not worth the time, but with any cam, be ready to do springs/valves etc....

If you want a nice cam, Jim Marshall created "The Sausage cam", I ran it for awhile. Google it, or do a search, I can't remember the specs.

Well shoot. That auburn pro LSD really limits your modding capabilities. If you would've gone with a different kind of limited slip, you would have way more cam options available.

How is the type of LSD going to affect his cam choice...?

Sausage cam would work well...But like I said, you will need to upgrade your valve springs with any cam, which will put more pressure on the stock 2 piece valves. More than a few out there have roached their entire motor when a valve snapped.

Maybe look for some 1.7 Non adj HS rockers...I just sold some for 250.00.

I heard the R/T cam makes a decent RV type cam but doesn't have a lopey sounding idle. It's supposed to be able to work with the stock valve train as long as you keep stock rocker ratio. Also I heard it would reqquire custom pushrods to be used with your non adjustable h&s's even with with an rest of the valve train appropriately upgraded.

It's the same cam I'm looking at since I hear it's OBD1 freindly cam. Since you have the sct you might look around since it really opens up your options, especially when you are willing to upgrade valve trains at the same time you do the cam upgrade.

Swapping cams ain't no joke... If'n you're gonna swap it,.you may as well select one that's gonna make a difference.. like that sausage adobe is talking about... If you're going to do it right- and its a big enough job that you should consider doing it right, you should do valves and springs, lifters, bearings, and go ahead and port match..

Swapping out the silly stock cam is where real building starts.. for the love of all that's holy, if you're going to do it do it right..

The bright side, if you don't, is you'll be familiar with the job when you do it again.
