Buying 99 Ram 2500 Diesel, things to look for
I am looking at buying a 99 Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummins diesel at 70k miles. Anything I should pay more attention to before purchasing the vehicle? Any known issues with that year or model? Thanks in advance.

Make sure you don't have the 53 block. (not sure if that was even an issue on the 99's..) Basically, it's gonna be just like any other high-mileage used vehicle. The usual wear items, steering, brakes, etc, and if the maintenance was kept up. Keep in mind, even maintenance on the diesel is more expensive than the gas engines.... but, the definition of 'high-mileage' moves out a ways..... the rest of the drivetrain is still subject to mileage issues though.
'99... C'mon now!

70k... High mileage? Did you even read the OP? Haha
OP that truck still has TONS of life left in it, especially if it has been well taken care of. Make sure you drive it cold and warm, slow and fast, before forking over the dough. Good luck!
