Default 1996 ABS RWAL Warning Light GRRRR

Got abs/brake warning light after heap sits for 2 weeks. Reset light by disconnecting battery. Heap sits another 2 weeks & got light again. Pulled RWAL fuse. Wouldn't reset. Tried jumping OBD 2 terminal 3 to gnd. 4 flashes without long flash. I get 4 flashes, pause, 4 flashes etc. Is this good code? Had to disconnect battery to reset. Did I gnd right terminal? How to diagnose next time this happens? Please!!!

2 or 4 wheel ABS?

For 2 wheel, it's generally the rear wheel speed sensor in the diff.

Welcome to DF!

It's 2 wheel drive, 2 wheel ABS, 360cube, 4 speed auto. Service brake works fine. Never tried red neck ABS test! Thanks for the help.

If it sat for a while, just try removing and cleaning the plug/connection to the sensor on the rear diff housing. After cleaning, put it on and off a few times. May just be a corroded connection.
