Default 46re trans advice.

Yesterday the wifes truck began to have a hard time getting up to speed after stopping. I took it to my neighbor who works as a mechanic for dodge and he ran the code scanner on it and told me to drop the pan and replace the 2 sensors/solenoids. I dropped the pan tonight and here are the two things I pulled off................

My question is, What are these two things called? Am I current in calling them Governor Pressure Solenoid and Governor Pressure Transducer? He told me to pick them up at Dacco in the morning but I dont want to look like an idiot calling them "thingys" to the Dacco guys.

Presure sensor on left and solenoid on right. Upgrade to Borg Warner, It will run better and last longer. Available on eBay for about $95.00.

Thanks GDStock, Do you know of anywhere I can purchase Borg Warner retail? I've only got tomorrow off work to fix it and this truck is her daily driver. I would order them off eBay in a heartbeat but I really need to find the parts and have it back together by noon tomorrow/today. Just realized it was 1:00 in the morning.

Call the local parts stores, and see if they carry them. Gonna pay a bit more for local purchase though...

Well good news! I got the parts from Dacco about 20 mins down the road. Great news they carry Borg Warner! Kinda sad the price was $140 but all things considered that's only $50 more than online and I don't have to take the wife to work at 5:30 in the morning. That by itself was worth the extra $50. Lol
Thanks again.

Yup everything is running perfect again. Reset the trouble code Po1756 (i think that was it anyway) and now it shifts fine and hasnt thrown the code again. I did have to add more fluid than i originally expected though. Service said 4qt and i had to put 6 in it. Now I get to sleep in tomorrow lol

Great to hear. Did you check fluid level in neutral?
