Alternator pulley
Guys,
I shredded my strap wrench pulling on the nut to remove the pulley. I probably put 100+ ftlbs on it to no avail. Is there a trick (left hand thread, etc.) that I am missing?
Thanks

Replacing the pulley. The stock alternator went out so I replaced it, but was not able to find one with the right pulley. The 90 amp had the larger pulley and the 120 the smaller. I needed the 120 with the larger pulley.
I figured just replacing the pulley would be easier and quicker than taking the ALT back off, returning it and reordering another from another place, assuming it would have the big pulley. So far I figured wrong, but will try your suggestion and see if I can get it.

Sorry...ribs. The one I need is 6 ribs, the one that came on the unit is the 4 rib model. They appear to be the same diameter.
