Exclamation Pesky 70+mph problem

Hello everyone.

Months ago i busted my transfer case wide open. The driveshaft seperated from the yoke on the rear-end and started clunking around. I don't know why it did this. And i was going pretty fast when it happened. I eventually came to a stop, got out, and looked under the truck. I saw my driveshaft just sagging on the concrete.

a few weeks later i was back on the rode. But overtime i noticed the truck would start to vibrate at higher speeds. I would LOVE any input on this. Could my driveshaft be unbalanced/bent? or could the transfercase be messedup somehow.

Thanks.

Drive shaft could very well be bent or out of balance. Did you replace all the u joints?

The drive shaft probably flung off a counter weight or two when it was slapping around under your truck.

I would just find a local driveshaft company and have them balance it out

If you're using the same drive shaft you can count on it being bent.

+1.... it's not very pretty what it went through when it came off. Find a local driveshaft shop and let them at least check it.
