I drove around for about 1000 miles with gorilla tape sealing a 1 1/2" hole in my output bearing retainer (the one that the tailhousing bolts to) and it barely even leaked!

I thought about JB welding it, but I want to fix it right. I'm going over to my friends house tonight to pick up his t-case. $130 for the whole case, or $180 for the back half ordered online? I think ill spend the $130

Picked up my NP231J last night, The J's are MUCH lighter than my D was for sure. But the housing has the same numbers on it. The housing i would have ordered online has the same casting number for it (link below) and it is for ALL np231 transfer cases.
